I’ve been waiting to share this news for so long! Ryan and I are happy to announce that not only are we moving into our beautiful town home, but we are also moving to Raleigh, a week from today! DC has been good to us the last four years, BUT WE WILL NOT MISS the the congestion and traffic and even more so the high cost of living. We are a little excited, a little nervous, BUT ready to move on and explore our new surroundings. Of course, we will miss the friends we have here.  In fact, Ryan leaving DC United and the guys will be a hard goodbye.  Luckily, the endless gear and obnoxiously bright sneaks will bring back those awesome memories for him.

You guys are moving further away from home?! Yes. So we can fully explore what life has to offer us, form even more friendships, and be a newly engaged couple venturing other areas and staying afloat!! Unfortunately, we can’t advance in our careers by living near home (New York). We are SO looking forward to the move and can’t wait to host family and friends. We are so extremely lucky for our amazing family support and our friends who have been there for us in our next journey.

Luckily for us, we have amazing parents who are helping with our BIG MOVE. It’s going to be a full weekend of boxes, family and good wine. Life is too short to not do what’s best for us and our lives. Here’s to having fun, regret nothing, sunny skies, warmer weather, and normal living costs!!!

It felt so good to be reacquainted with Lindsay (“Son”) after so many years and looking back to some high school memories – - riding in her Jeep with my best friend, Nicole, sucking on Dum Dums, and jamming out to music.  Lindsay was a little older than us so looking back on those days, I realize that Nicole & I were a couple of dorks, but we were okay with that because we thought we were so cool to be close with a senior in high school.  Son was such a good friend to us “youngens” in high school and was always hysterical to listen to.  Did I mention she’s awesome?!

I was first asked by Lindsay if I could design their wedding invitations and then I had the chance to speak to Elina on the phone! She was so nice! And so fun to work with! She was so quick to respond back and always excited to see the next design or next step. Before wrapping up the invitations, Elina and Lindsay asked me if I can continue to work with them and personalize the rest of their wedding stationery. I was so thrilled and honored that they asked me to keep working with them and can’t wait to kick off the rest of the additional stationery goodies for their big day!

Their navy and pink palette is perfect and the plaid envelopes make a statement themselves! I loved working with these two and I hope they’re enjoying reading this post – - and I hope everyone else enjoys these as much as I did!!!

Happy Hump Day!

Your best friend only gets married once which deserves all the attention in the world! The other maid of honor, Ashley and I decided to combine Nicole’s bachelorette party and bridal shower in one weekend. Talk about awesome timing! A girls getaway weekend all in one weekend to make it easier for guests who are traveling.

Will everyone attending the bridal shower be attending the bachelorette party? No. These invitations were designed so that everyone will get the invitation to the bridal shower. Those that will be invited to both the shower and bachelorette party will receive a special glassine envelope with their bridal invite.

The colors are a nice refreshing palette of aqua and lime. Perfect for the summer. I decided that her Save the Dates and Invites gave enough taste for what guests should expect at her wedding. I did not want to overkill her gorgeous burlap, gingham and rustic feel so I saved the best for last, on her and Tommy’s big day!

This aqua lime palette spruce up the invitations and are full of fun and exciting colors. But wait! There’s more! There are three different patterns at the bottom of the bachelorette invite so not everyone will have the identical one. The pretty patterns rotate between yellow abstract poppy, green leaves, and red poppy. So cute and pretty. Hemp tying credit to my fabulous assistant stacy, she makes me so proud!

The bridal shower is a suprise, so you’ll just have to wait and see what it is after our bride finds out. But in the meantime, take a look at the fun-filled bachelorette invites!

I had an amazing time designing this invitation suite for my best friend. It was fun testing my design skills to see how well I know my best friend by designing something that she would absolutely love. Rustic weddings are already different than most weddings. What makes them unique are the well-thought ideas behind each piece that ties them together.

The countrified designs leave you with that warm, homey feeling which brings back memories of home and growing up with my best friend, Nicole.

I loved this wedding because it had a classic style but with a twist of fun! So many great moments and details! Amazing bright pops of color in the green bridesmaid dresses and flowers! It was a perfect summer day on the water with a gorgeous view. This Celebrations at the Bay Wedding could not have been more special. It was the perfect venue for a magical day. I was honored to be given the opportunity to work with Laura and Matt. I couldn’t ask for a better couple to work with! I was able to add so many personal touches to their wedding stationery with endless details that made it fun and meaningful at the same time. I loved Laura’s dress! How amazing did she look?! Buckle up for some amazing details! Ready, set, go!

We needed a way to showcase the date along with hotel information since hotel rooms book up very quick for this venue. I used burlap, gingham and twine to create a natural, new but rustic look. Not only am I obsessed with burlap, but it gives the Save the Dates some texture making them one of a kind. Just untie the hemp and place your Save the Date magnet on your fridge!

A fresh summer color palette, vintage style airplane, and a cute delicate font – what’s not to love about these Save the Dates? I can’t say it enough. I get to work with such fun brides.

Laura and Matt knew they wanted to incorporate an airplane into their wedding invitations. The design was created with a hand-drawn plane and featured fun navy stripes to reflect the groom’s pilot uniform.

The fun image that the bride and groom choose helped showcase who they are as a couple and introduced their guests to their fun and casual theme for their wedding day. The photo accomplished this and made the Save the Dates even more memorable.

The unexpected bridesmaid dresses is one of my favorite details. Not too much color, but very unique and different from one another and mix well with the summer day wedding theme. The bride and mother came up with the majority of the ideas for the wedding and collected things along the way to create handmade items and décor.
